Global Advantage Business Awards Nomination Form: Immigrant Entrepreneur Success

The ability to find work or start a successful company is a crucial part in determining the settlement success of immigrants who come to Guelph and Wellington. Immigrants who start their own business are demonstrating investment and commitment to their new homes, their futures, and growing the local economy.

The Global Advantage Business Awards (GABAs) celebrate the innovation and leadership of businesses that are demonstrating innovation in hiring and retaining immigrant employees, and of immigrant entrepreneurs in Guelph and Wellington County.

Immigrant Entrepreneur Success Award Criteria
Immigrant Entrepreneur Success nominee have:

Arrived in anada since the year 2000
Established a business that is growing and sustainable in Guelph or Wellington County
Become dynamically involved with the community and other businesses
Have an inspiring story to tell
Note: Businesses of all sizes and from all sectors are eligible to apply

Winners will be notified in February 2017
All nominees will be invited to the GABA Awards Breakfast in March 2017

Guelph-Wellington Local Immigration Partnership
The Guelph-Wellington Local Immigration Partnership (GWLIP) is a large coalition of individuals and organizations addressing the social and economic challenges that immigrants face. Our goal is to make Guelph & Wellington County truly welcoming communities for immigrants. We envision a caring, equitable community where everyone thrives. We are launching the GABAs to recognize and celebrate business leaders in our communities who are building companies, workforce, and communities for the 21st century.
